British Columbia Ski Mountains Canada

There are several mountain ranges for skiing in British Columbia. They are St. Elias mountains, the Coast mountains and the Canadian Rocky mountains.

Top British Columbia Ski Areas

The town of Golden on the Columbia River is north of Fairmont and Hot Springs is a good ski area.

Kicking Horse mountain is another good ski area. It has the highest restaurant in Canada. Also, find Paragliding, whitewater rafting, fishing, skiing, dog sledding and snowmobile are all offered in the vicinity.

Yoho National Park has 28 peaks with the highest waterfalls in Canada. Also find glacial lakes.

Whistler Mountain has night skiing and glacier skiing. You can find secluded areas to ski here. There is also dog sledding, snowboarding and heli skiing British Columbia. Find two world renown mountains with the longest ski season in North America and over 200 marked trails. Be sure to pack appropriate clothes. Ski Whistler BC from November to July.

 

Mt. Timothy is near 100 mile house where there are snowboarding parks, cross country trails, sleigh rides and back country snowmobile trails.

Vernon and Fairmont Hot Springs has Alpine skiing.

Vancouver will host the 2010 Olympics Winter Games.
