What's In Store In Beautiful BC Canada?

BC Canada is the perfect vacation spot to head out to if you’re looking for outdoor fun.  If you’ve got the family and children in tow and would like to take a holiday that everyone can really enjoy, then BC is the place to be.  This Province certainly has its share of urban delights in the form of stellar city shopping and nightlife.  However, it also has a lot to offer in terms of outdoor activities and wildlife.  No matter how diverse your family’s tastes may be, there is something for everyone in BC!

Skiing And Summer:

BC is home to the Whistler and Blackcomb Mountains, which are must-visit destinations for any BC trip.  Whistler has developed a reputation for being one of the best spots for skiing; but even in the summer, there are many fun outdoor activities for the whole family in this area.  You can do some trekking, or just sit outside and enjoy the natural beauty of the area.  These are great places to see some beautiful wildlife, as well.  The best thing about BC is that your wildlife sightings are not restricted to the mountains.  There is also plenty of wildlife to be enjoyed right on the coast!  Vancouver Island, for example, is the place to go for some authentic whale watching.

Stanley Park is a great way to enjoy the outdoors without leaving the city of Vancouver.  This park is a great favorite with the kids, since it has a number of different attractions for them to enjoy.  In fact, a day at Stanley Park can be an action-filled day!  The park has a summer water park, an aquarium, a ghost train, and a special farmyard just for the kids.  There are many ways for the whole family to have fun as well.  The Stanley Park Ecology Society hosts programs like building bird habitats.  The family can also rent bikes and take in the natural beauty around the seawall.

The Great Indoors:

If the weather seems to be playing spoilsport, there are many great places to visit for indoor entertainment, as well.  The Royal BC Museum in Victoria, for example, is a great way to spend an entire day.  In fact, you’ll probably find that even after a daylong visit, there will still be areas you haven’t even checked out!  Your best bet is to set the Museum trip for an entire day, and plan a simple break for lunch nearby.

If you are heading to BC in the summer, make sure you give your kids a special treat by taking them to Splashdown Park, which has 13 water slides, a video game arcade, as well as areas for volleyball, basketball, and badminton.  While there is a concession stand and catering available, you can also rent a barbecue area and have a great barbecue picnic right at the water park!  Last, but definitely not least, don’t forget to check out the ferries!  It is important to note that these are usually overloaded during the holidays, and particularly during the summer months, so make sure you book in advance before you head out.  Some ferries also offer online reservations for convenience.
