Vancouver is one of British Columbia's largest cities.

In the city of Vancouver BC, there is lots of historic landmarks to visit. See the BC Sports hall of fame museum, the Burnaby Village Museum and Carousel.  There are more museums in Vancouver to explore aboriginal art, totem poles and other artifacts at the Museum of Anthropology at the University of British Columbia. Other interesting museums in the Vancouver area include the Science World at Telus World of Science and the Maritime Museum. Afterwards, visit the Cannery National Historic site for an exhibit on fishing history. For more historic sites, tour Gastown's cobblestone streets to see 19th century buildings and then explore galleries and shops. Don't forget to eat at one of the fine restaurants in Gastown.

Capilano Suspension Bridge spans 230 ft. above the Capilano River. Walk the bridge for a breathtaking view of the rainforest and gorge.

Ride the Grouse Mountain's Skyride Gondola for another spectacular view of the city and area. If you'd rather take a hike, then hike the Grouse Grind trail. This trail rises 2,800 ft.

Another popular spot to visit is the Harbour Centre Tower. Here you can see a panoramic view of the city from a revolving observation deck.

Vancouver has many unforgettable formal gardens and parks. There are rock gardens, waterfalls and ponds at Queen Elizabeth Park. The Seasons Hill Top Bistro in the Queen Elizabeth Park, offers a breathtaking panoramic view of the city. Another one of the city's fine parks is Stanley Park which offers a pleasant stroll along beautiful floral gardens at the seawall. At Prospect Point, walk along the Lions Gate Bridge to watch ships pass below. From this bridge, you can see a beautiful view of the city's skyline.

Vancouver Aquarium offers a relaxing day observing sea animals like dolphins, beluga whales, seals, sea otters and stingrays.

Shopping in Vancouver can be fun. The city has many unique shops to explore. There are boutiques, specialty shops, outlets, waterfront marketplaces, artisan studios and designer shops. After a day of shopping, you can refuel at one of the many popular sidewalk cafes or trendy restaurants for some outstanding seafood or ethnic cuisines.

For culture, you can watch a Shakespeare play in an open-air tent at the waterfront. See other plays performed at the Chan Centre for Performing Arts or the Centre in Vancouver for Performing Arts. Listen to the Orchestra play at an outdoor musical concert, see a Broadway musical or a dance performance at the Orpheum or the Queen Elizabeth Theatre. Spend a leisurely day, exploring one of Vancouver's art galleries on Granville Island or check out one of the Aboriginal art exhibits in Gastown.

Enjoy a day at one of Vancouver's 50 spas. Here rejuvenate your body with a hot stone massage and a seaweed wrap.

If you are an outdoor enthusiast, then hiking the trails at the Pacific Spirit Regional Park will interest you. Here you might see some wildlife. Burnaby Central park offers hiking trails and tennis courts for your enjoyment. Or you might want to play at the beach or watch the sunset on the ocean at Lighthouse Park which is located on the North Shore.
